Dr. Richard Trosch, MD FAAN is a board-certified neurologist and fellowship-trained movement disorder specialist with over three decades of experience managing patients. He completed his neurology residency at Yale New Haven Hospital, where he served as chief resident, and went on to complete a movement disorders fellowship at Columbia University. Since 1991, he has practiced in the Detroit area and is currently a partner at Michigan Health Professionals.
Dr. Trosch’s clinical work is focused on the treatment of Parkinson’s disease, dystonia, tremor, and tardive dyskinesia. He is a member of the University of Michigan Deep Brain Stimulation (DBS) surgery program and has lectured nationally on Parkinson’s care, DBS, and botulinum toxin therapy. He has published extensively on movement disorders, developed the Clinician’s Tardive Inventory rating scale, and is a fellow of the American Academy of Neurology. He currently serves as an associate professor of neurology at OUWB Medical School and is leading efforts to apply computer vision to the screening and diagnosis of movement disorders.
